Sky blue and white vertical stripes — the albiceleste — worn essentially unchanged for over a century. The away shirt is where the variation happens, and it has ranged from dark blue to black to purple depending on the cycle. Three World Cups and fifteen Copa América titles. One detail matters more than any other when buying an Argentina shirt: the stars above the crest count World Cup wins, so a shirt made from 2023 onwards carries three, while anything from before the 2022 final carries two. That distinction separates a tournament shirt from the version sold afterwards.
