National shirts are organised by year rather than season, since the cycles run to tournaments rather than league campaigns. Retro depth varies by nation — the individual page says how far back the range goes.

The European Championship has run since 1960 and the continent's national sides are the most reissued shirts in the archive — tournament kits from 1966 onwards, plus the qualifying-era designs that never reached a finals.

The Copa América, first played in 1916, is the oldest international tournament in football, and the confederation that runs it is the oldest outside Europe. Bold colour and heavy pinstriping run through its kit history.

The confederation covers North and Central America and the Caribbean, and stages the Gold Cup. The 2026 World Cup is hosted across the United States, Mexico and Canada, so all three carry current shirts alongside their retro runs.

The Africa Cup of Nations has been played since 1957 and now runs every two years. Its shirts lean hardest on national symbolism — flag colours, national animals and pattern work drawn from textile traditions.

The Asian Cup has been contested since 1956, making it the second-oldest continental championship. Japan and South Korea carry the deepest shirt histories here, and both have designs collected well outside their own borders.

The smallest confederation by membership. Australia left it for the Asian confederation in 2006 and now qualify through Asia, but their shirts are filed here with New Zealand because these pages group by geography rather than by governing body.
