How to measure

Lay the shirt flat and measure pit to pit (armpit to armpit) and collar to hem, then compare with the table. Between sizes, take the larger. Measurements are in centimetres, with 1–2 cm variation between pieces.

Away shirts change more between seasons than home shirts do, since the home design is constrained by the club's traditional colours and the away one largely is not.

The away shirt is where the variation happens, and it has ranged from dark blue to black to purple depending on the cycle. Three World Cups and fifteen Copa América titles. Kids sizes run 16 to 28 and are chest width in inches rather than age. The chart above maps each size to an age as a rough guide; measuring a shirt that currently fits is more reliable.
