Cruz Azul began in 1927 as the works team of a cement cooperative in Hidalgo, and the connection never left: Cemento Cruz Azul has been on the front of the shirt since 1992. The deep blue of La Máquina is one of Mexican football’s most settled identities. The 2021 league title ended a 23-year wait and stands as the defining Cruz Azul moment of the modern era.
