Away shirts change more between seasons than home shirts do, since the home design is constrained by the club's traditional colours and the away one largely is not.

Ghana in 2020

The shirt of the pandemic-delayed cycle — the 2021 Cup of Nations was pushed back to January 2022 in Cameroon, where the four-time champions finished bottom of their group after a 3–2 defeat to debutants Comoros, one of the biggest shocks in the tournament’s history.

The Black Stars take their name from the single black star at the centre of the Ghanaian flag, and that star sits on every shirt — usually white at home, with red, gold and green trim pulled from the flag.
