Juventus in 2002/06

Juventus won the Serie A title for the second season in a row under Marcello Lippi, finishing seven points ahead of Inter and 11 in front of A.C. Milan, and reached the Champions League Final after eliminating Real Madrid. In the all-Italian final at Old Trafford in Manchester, Juventus faced Milan and were beaten in a penalty shoot-out after a goalless draw. Pavel Nedvěd had one of the best seasons of his career and was awarded the 2003 Ballon d'Or, but was ruled out of the final after receiving a yellow card in the semi-final.
