Unión Deportiva Las Palmas was formed in 1949 by the merger of five Gran Canaria clubs, and the yellow shirt with blue shorts has been the island’s footballing colours ever since. The Gran Canaria name has sat on the front of the shirt for most seasons since 2010, which helps date the modern kits at a glance.
